At Formed By Hope, our mission is to inspire people to live with faith, purpose, and hope in a world that often feels broken and uncertain. We believe every person has value, every story matters, and no one is beyond redemption.
Through media, conversations, outreach, and community, we aim to create a movement that encourages people to grow spiritually, support one another, and boldly live out their calling. Formed By Hope exists to remind people that hope is not just a feeling — it is something that can shape lives, restore hearts, and build stronger communities.
We are committed to reaching people through campus ministry, live events, social media, speaking, and creative content that meets people where they are. But above all, we believe real impact happens through genuine human connection — through conversations, friendships, mentorship, prayer, and simply showing up for others in their lives.
We do this because too many people feel alone, unheard, and forgotten. If people of faith, hope, and compassion are unwilling to step forward, then who will? We believe we are called not to stand by, but to serve, encourage, and lead with love. Even the smallest act of kindness or conversation can change someone’s life forever.
Whether online or in person, our goal is simple: to help people find hope, share hope, and be formed by it every day.

Joshua Thelen is the founder and owner of Formed By Hope.
Built from personal challenges and a desire to create something meaningful, Formed By Hope exists to encourage others and remind them that difficult seasons can shape something greater. The brand focuses on connection, perspective, and helping people find strength in moments where it feels hardest to move forward.
Alongside Formed By Hope, Joshua is a video editor, DJ, and artist, and the owner of Thelen Audio and Video. Through his creative work, he aims to tell stories, create emotion, and bring people together.
He is also an aspiring public speaker, driven to share messages that inspire hope and help others move forward with purpose
